Adjacent to the Motel is an RV park with a Recreation Room and complete kitchen where we will display and cook mushrooms, and hold our evening programs. Many fine restaurants are nearby.

We will be foraging into the Sangre de Christo mountains around Taos and Red River, where Boletus edulis is found at the higher elevations. Many other mushrooms may also be found at that time of year.

Sunday afternoon, we will be joining the New Mexico Mycological Society at 2:00 pm to enjoy their annual mushroom banquet. Chef Carlo Gislimberti will prepare the banquet at his Villa Fontana Restaurant. Carlo has been knighted in Italy for his outstanding cooking, and his restaurant has been listed among the top 5 Northern Italian restaurants in America. He is listed on the Culinary Institute's 100 Best Chefs of the Century. This will truly be a taste experience not to be missed!

The cost for this culinary event is $45 per person, which will cover the meal, tax, and gratuity for the excellent wait staff. So, join us in New Mexico in mid-August, cool down in the mountains, and enjoy some of the best edible mushrooms cooked by the best chef!
