New Mexico Mycological Society - 2002 Foray Registration

Fees
  • $110 per person. (Members' children under age 18 may attend for $50 per child.)
  • There will be no division of fees for this Foray.
  • Registration Deadline is August 8th, when we will give the final count to the Sipapu management. Those registering after this date will pay the full Foray fee, but will have to provide for their own meals.
  • Registrations cancelled prior to the August 8th will be refunded in full. Cancellations after August 8th will receive refund less $60.

    Registration Instructions   Please read and follow these instructions carefully.
  • When filling out Registration Form, Please Print Legibly.
  • If you are not an NMMS member, specify in the "Additional Information" column to which Mycological Organization you belong.
  • Sipapu will offer two selections for each meal: one Vegetarian and one non-Vegetarian. If you prefer Vegetarian meals, you must specify such on the registration form by circling the 'V' in the Meal Preference box next to your name.
  • Please mention special dietary considerations or needs in the "Additional Information" column on your Registration Form.
  • Include Name and City of Residence of all people covered by your Registration.
  • Note: If you are acting as contact person for members of your party, their full addresses are not necessary.
  • If you have an Email address, include this on the Registration Form.
  • Include a Contact Address and Phone#.
  • Mail completed Registration Form and a Check for Foray amount, payable to NMMS, to Foray Registrar (address on Form).

  • Tasks: The Foray Committee requests that every participant sign up for one of the tasks listed on the Registration Form. If participants think of another reasonable task for which they would be willing to volunteer, please include it on the form. Please include task # in the appropriate box following participant's name. Registrants who do not specify a task will be assigned one as needed.

    Tasks: The Foray Committee requests that every participant sign up for one of the following tasks.
  • Foray Committee - Those on the Committee need not specify an additional task.
  • Registrar - Sharon Chong - Thurs, 22 Aug, from 5-9pm
  • 1) Set up - Thurs, 22 Aug, from 4-7 PM - report to Registrar - help set up at beginning of Foray - arrive early (no later than 4pm)
    2) Pack Mule - Haul supplies up stairs, from car to bldg, etc; AM or PM during one day of the Foray
    3) Galley Slave - Help clean mushrooms for eating, cook a dish, clean dishes, etc. Will report to Barbara Marigold or other taskmaster. Fri or Sat PM.
    4) Scout - locate collecting spots prior to Foray - Communicate findings to FT Coordinator. (Those choosing this task should communicate with David Wallis prior to any scouting trips.)
    5) Field Trip Coordinator (1 or 2)- oversee Field trip Leaders.
    6) Trip Leaders (4-6) Friday and/or Saturday - Lead group of vehicles to Field trip location and make sure that all return (Coordinator will provide maps and instructions).
    7) Display Coordinator & Recorder (1-2) Oversee Collection and Display process and record ID'd specimens (may delegate responsibilities to C&D volunteers).
    8) Collection and Display - Fri and/or Sat PM - report to Display Coordinator - sort, identify, label, record, and place specimens on collection tables.
    9) Microscopy - Set up and ensure security of Microscopes. This task can include bringing and sharing one's own microscope.
    10) Clean up - Sun, 25 Aug, from 10 Am until finished
